DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS .Degree qualified in a relevant structural discipline; preferably chartered DESIRED EXPERIENCE .Structural analysis experience .Exposure to platform, FPSO and subsea installation design/analysis .Vessel engineering experience JOB DESCRIPTION .Perform warranty/consultancy surveys on transportations and installations .Conduct riser and mooring analysis, vessel motion studies and seafastening design .Inspecting, analysing, producing and reviewing detailed reports .Execute offshore installation projects .Making recommendations and advising clients .Liaising with 3rd party vendors CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION .Proven record in electrical engineering within the marine sector .Strong interpersonal skills .Report writing experience, with strong attention to detail .Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications .Experience of analysis and drawing packages eg OrcaFlex COMPETENCIES COMMUNICATION .Analyze business problems and determine effective solutions .Listen to others and accept input from team members .Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally .Prepare written business correspondence and technical documentation that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional TECHNICAL .Demonstrate skilled knowledge in analysing technical solutions and writing detailed technical specifications .Experience of delivering operational projects on time and on budget using standard project management methodologies .Thorough knowledge of engineering principals .Communicate and enforce infrastructure and operational standards Structural Engineer Job Description TEAMWORK .Facilitate effective team interaction .Appreciate and encourage contributions and value of each individual member CLIENT MANAGEMENT .Value internal and external clients and respond to their needs as they arise .Establish effective working relationship with clients .Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships .Manage client expectations effectively PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT .Stay abreast of the latest tools and technologies .Mentor those with less experience through informal channels INTERNAL OPERATIONS .Complete status reports and timesheets on a timely basis .Comply with company policies and procedures .Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes including possible solutions
