Environmental Site Officer
Our client is one the world’s leading energy companies with involvement in the delivery and operation of the UK’s new generation of nuclear plants. We are currently looking for an Environmental Site Officer to work on an exciting new project of expansion.
As Environmental Site Officer you will be responsible for:
- Maintenance of procedures relating to environmental and waste management
- Provision of environmental guidance on all site activities
- Supervision of site activities
- Setting up environmental site records according to regulations
- Reviewing contractor’s environmental plans
Candidates for the position of Environmental Site Officer will have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Qualified to HNC or Level 3 NVQ in a related discipline or equivalent
- Good understanding of environmental regulations relevant for ecology
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
The position of Environmental Site Officer is permanent role starting in April 2010 and to be based in Somerset. The company offers an attractive salary and benefits package, with basic salary of up to £40,000. This in an exciting opportunity to be involved in one of the UK’s largest energy infrastructure projects which will be of great benefit for generations to come.

Planning Officer
Our client is one the world’s leading energy companies with involvement in the delivery and operation of the UK’s new generation of nuclear plants. We are currently looking for a Planning Officer to work on an exciting capital project development.
As Planning Officer you will be responsible for:
-Generating and collating planning application documents for submission to planning authorities
-Ensuring evidence collated in support of the company’s planning approval applications are timely, accurate and of good quality
-Coordination with the Planning team to ensure the best available support and advice is provided to the planning application process.
-Developing and maintaining knowledge of planning issues in the sector
Candidates for the position of Planning Officer will have the following key skills, experience and attributes:
-Recent experience working in a planning role, preferably a major capital infrastructure project
-Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for major infrastructure development planning applications
-Knowledge of the processes required to support a successful planning application
-Excellent IT skills
-Excellent communication skills
-An ability to work both as part of a large complex team or independently.
Location – Central London
Salary – Circa £40,000
