The Central Belt Design Office of our client require a highly experienced Lead Engineer to provide focus and drive to the growth and development of their Professional Engineering offering to Commercial (non defence) Clients. In addition, this role will be responsible to the Commercial Director for delivery of all Engineering content of Contracts with our Commercial Clients.

They provide a wide range of services to the offshore industry world-wide involving both design verification and independent analysis activities in various disciplines, including those of naval architecture, structural, pipelines, mooring, foundations, safety and mechanical engineering.
Reporting to the Structural Team Leader, you will be expected to carry out:
• design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• independent analysis of structures
• maintain good communications with clients and designers
Job Requirements
You will be a chartered engineer or working towards Chartership, holding a good degree in structural or civil engineering and have several years experience covering analysis, design and fabrication.
Specifically, you will need to: have acquired an in-depth understanding of design codes and their development; be familiar with fabrication specifications. Topsides design experience in fire, blast & dropped objects design would also be most usefull.
