A brand new opportunity has arisen with our Birmingham based client calling upon the skills of an experienced Progress Analyst Programmer. Working as part of a busy team for this International end user organisation, you will be required to provide valuable development expertise for MFG Pro systems. You will work on a variety of core projects taking requirements from users and delivering an appropriate new solution / system enhancement. Development will predominantly be centred around Progress v8, MFG Pro and PHP.

We require applications from candidates with a minimum of 5 years commercially gained development experience using MFG Pro and Progress v8. It is likely you will have worked in a distribution, manufacturing or automotive environment and you should have a good understanding of PHP (minimum 3 years). Any familiarity with StreamServe, Octavio and/or Bar-Coding would be advantageous but is not essential. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Two experienced IT Application Support Developers are currently being sought by a well established organisation in Central London who are investing heavily in IT. Reporting directly to the ICT Applications Manager and working as part of a busy integrated application support & development team the successful candidates will work on a variety of development projects as well as providing responsive 2nd/3rd line application support. The role will involve supporting, maintaining, enhancing and developing bespoke applications covering the Intranet, Extranet and Websites. A number of legacy applications will be redeveloped as part of the investment in technology using a variety of modern technologies. The current development environment consists predominantly of .Net, C# and VB.

We are seeking applications from candidates with around 2 years commercially gained experience in a similar role. You will have worked within an integrated support & development environment and will be as comfortable providing application support and application development services. It is likely you will have a good understanding of .Net, C# and VB although your attitude and positive nature are more important than the specific technologies.
