Summary
A qualified Veterinary Scientist is required to join one of the Pharmaceutical industrys leaders in pre-clinical drug investigations. You must have had experience of leading a team, working within strict ethical practice guidelines and participating in client audits.

The Role
Using your broad Veterinary / Biology background to the full, you will lead a team of 20 (subdivided into smaller groups, each with a team leader) who operate within the pre-clinical technologies group. You will plan and organise pre-clinical studies, ensure the application of ethical standards and actively implement the 3Rs in to working practices. Because the company is a third-party organisation who offer outsource services to various Pharmaceutical organisations, there are frequent client audits and you will be responsible for contributing to audit documentation, ensuring that the department is audit-ready at all times and presenting the facility with enthusiasm and confidence to visitors.
This is a challenging, permanent position that requires a keen scientific mind, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
Experience
The successful candidate must have a strong degree (perhaps a higher degree / PhD / MSc) in a Biological Science discipline, ideally in Veterinary Science. Previous experience as a Named Veterinary Surgeon (NVS) would be a strong advantage but is not essential. You must be an inspirational leader with good communication skills.

The Role
